We specialize in the highly effective, advanced and safe exercise protocol called PhysioSlow™ Strength Training. This method of exercise produces maximum results in minimum time under the guidance of our PhysioSlow Strength Trainers. By performing each exercise utilizing PhysioSlow movements, our clients are able to realize their pre-determined genetic potential to build muscle in under ONE HOUR each week.

PhysioSlow Strength Training can produce powerful results for all individuals, regardless of age or fitness level. Even clients with prior injuries will be able to safely strengthen muscles, protect from further injuries and often alleviate pain. Slow Method History

The slow method of weight-training began at the University Of Florida School Of Medicine in 1982, where research showed that extremely slow weight lifting improved strength, bone density and overall functionality. Slow method has had over 25 years of scientific research and experience which allows for maximum results from just two 30-minute workouts per week.

PhysioSlow Protocol:

We specialize in a slow method exercise protocol that is both safe and highly effective. Each exercise is performed using extremely slow movements. A single repetition takes about 20 seconds. This requires the participant to utilize the strength of their muscles to move the weights and eliminate momentum and acceleration. The goal is to challenge the targeted muscle(s) to a point beyond its current capability - until movement of the weight is no longer possible. This is called complete muscular exhaustion. As a result, the growth mechanism is stimulated and with an adequate revitalization period to rest, the body can properly and safely recover and build more muscle. This increases the resting metabolism, allowing the body to burn more calories, even at rest.

The slow speed and intensity of the movement, coupled with the emphasis of proper form and equipment setup, ensures safety, while delivering maximum results in minimal time. In about 30 minutes, twice a week, PhysioSlow strength training works all major muscle groups, strengthens bones and increases cardiovascular function.

Originally designed for use in physical therapy, MedX’s state-of-the-art equipment is advanced with biomechanical precision and low-friction movement. This enable trainers to select the exact level of resistance to customize and meet each individual’s needs for optimal results, while at the same time, ensuring safety and prevention of injuries. Optimized Studio:

Our premium training studio is set up for optimal results because it is private, quiet and free of distractions, offering the ideal environment to focus and concentrate on executing perfect form, speed and movement. The temperature is kept between 60-65 degrees to prevent overheating to allow for an optimal workout in the shortest amount of time.

Built in Revitalization Period:

A revitalization period is built into every PhysioSlow workout. This is the period in between your two training sessions each week. It is during the revitalization phase that your body adapts to the stress of the exercise and the real training effect takes place. During the critical revitalization phase, your body rests, recovers and replenishes to build more muscle.
