What is Detoxification?

Detoxification is the body's natural, ongoing process of neutralizing or eliminating toxins from the body through our liver, lungs, skin, kidneys and bowels. The human body is constantly detoxifying all day and every day. Natural and synthetic chemicals are processed by our organs to prevent toxic build up.

What are the benefits of detoxification?

We are exposed to toxins through our environment, food and water everyday. Over the years, toxins can build up in fat, joints, the brain and various other tissues. When our body’s natural detoxification mechanisms become overburdened over time, the natural process becomes less efficient and can cause a toxin overload, potentially leading to a variety of health problems. Toxic load has been suggested to contribute to serious conditions such as autoimmune diseases, inflammatory/rheumatoid arthritis and neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. This program helps to get rid of these stored toxins.

How soon can I expect to see or feel results?

Be patient with the program, it may take a couple weeks before you start to notice positive changes (although most people start noticing earlier).

Try not to compare yourself to other people that are currently doing or have completed the program - everyone reacts differently to the program. Do not focus on your weight alone, instead consider how you are feeling, what your energy level is and how your clothes fit. It is helpful to journal your experience and how you are feeling during the entire process.

Will I lose weight?

Everybody will respond differently to this program. Although the PhysioCleanse & Detoxification Program™ is not designed to be a weight loss program, many people benefit from losing weight during the course of the program due to lower than usual caloric intake, consumption of balanced, nutritious clean foods, elimination of sugars, decreased consumption of allergenic foods and elimination of toxins from fat stores in your body which may have caused resistance to weight loss.

If I do lose weight, how much weight can I expect to lose on average?

There is no average because weight loss varies from person to person due to variations in hormones, stress, size, age, health status, etc. Clients have reported to have lost 1 to 30 lbs throughout the program. In general, men typically lose more weight and faster than women because of higher percent of lean body mass.

People usually have greater weight loss success if they are on a regular exercise regimen such as the PhysioSlow strength training program.

Why is the Detoxification Phase 28 days long?

The program is designed over a 28-day period to get the best results and allow your body to slowly detoxify completely and adapt to the new changes effectively.

Why is the Pre-Cleanse Phase important?

The Pre-Cleansing Phase prepares your body for the detoxification. Cleaning out your colon will help ease you into the detoxification phase and prepare you for the rest of your program. During the cleansing and detoxification process, toxins are released in your blood stream and could cause symptoms such as mild fatigue and headaches. For a more successful and gradual detoxification experience, this gentle colon cleanse is highly recommended.

Do I get to eat food during this program?

Yes, you will eat up to 3 food meals and up to 2 snacks a day throughout the entire program. We emphasize eating organic, nutritious, clean foods throughout the program for a balanced diet. Some examples include: organic poultry, fruits, vegetables, raw nuts and legumes.

Can I snack during this program?

Yes, throughout the entire program, you will be able to have 1-2 snacks a day. However, it is important to keep snacks within the recommended guidelines and to have smart portions. There are numerous snack choices that are recommended during the 28-day Detoxification Phase. Please refer to the “Snack Ideas” resource for specific recommendations.

Why do I need to eliminate certain foods and eat a clean diet?

In order to cleanse and detoxify your body, it is critical to eliminate the intake of foods that contain toxins such as caffeine, sugars, alcohol, pesticides, etc. It is also important to eliminate foods that have allergenic properties such as gluten and dairy as well. Eating a clean diet will promote a balanced and healthy functioning digestive system to facilitate your body’s natural detoxification process.

Can I still eat out?

Although it is recommended that you do not eat out during the Detoxification Phase whenever possible, it is not restricted.

If you need to eat out, consume only the approved foods. Let the restaurant know your restrictions and ask to talk to the chef. Typically, a higher quality restaurant will usually have higher quality fish, steamed vegetables and salads.

Do I need to drink shakes and take supplements?

Yes, this program emphasizes eating clean foods while taking Professional Grade Dietary Supplements and Shakes to ensure a healthy and balanced diet. Part of this program does include meal replacement shakes and/or smoothies.

Can I exercise during this program?

Yes, you may exercise as you normally do. A solid strength training program, such as the PhysioSlow training program, is highly recommended to retain lean body mass.

We recommend that you monitor yourself and listen to your body. On occasion during the program – especially during the beginning, you may feel fatigued, so try gentle movements such as walking, stretching or yoga instead of an intense workout.

Can I smoke?

For best results, it is highly recommended that you do not smoke. Smoking creates free radicals and toxins in your body. Try to quit before you start the program if possible.

How can I expect to feel on this program?

Everybody reacts differently to the program. You will most likely experience different things throughout the program at different phases. For example, you may feel withdrawal symptoms, such as headaches and fatigue, during the first few days or weeks due to your body adjusting to the new, clean diet and elimination of foods such as caffeine and sugar. Then as you progress along the process, you will likely start to feel rejuvenated, energized and empowered.

How is this program the same or different from all the other detoxification programs out there?

The PhysioCleanse and Detoxification Program™ does NOT require fasting, starvation, liquid-only diet, calorie counting, restrictions or harsh medication. This is a comprehensive program that emphasizes balanced, nutritious, clean foods with Professional Grade Dietary Supplements and Shakes.

Why is fasting not a part of the detox program?

The PhysioCleanse & Detoxification Program™ does NOT involve extended fasting. Fasting for more than a 12 hour period can be unhealthy and it not only slows down your metabolism, but also overworks your liver. The program does recommend that you give your body a rest during the night to recover and not consume food for 12 hours between your evening meal or snack and your morning meal.

What does “Professional or Pharmaceutical Grade Dietary Supplements” mean?

Who and When?

I am allergic to wheat, can I do this program?

We recommend that you check with your healthcare professional before starting this program.

All the supplements, except for the PhysioGreens powder, are gluten-free. PhysioGreens contains wheatgrass which may be okay for some people with a gluten intolerance. Please check with your doctor or healthcare professional.

I am allergic to dairy, can I do this program?

We recommend that you check with your healthcare professional before starting this program.

We do offer a Dairy-Free version of the PhysioCleanse & Detoxification Program Kit. Please call the studio at 312-255-8308 for additional information or to place your special order.

I have renal disease, can I do this program?

We recommend that you check with your healthcare professional before starting this program.

I have diabetes, can I do this program?

Is pea protein safe for people who have a peanut allergy?

The PhysioCleanse powder contains pea protein. Some people with peanut allergies may have an allergic reaction to pea protein. Please contact your physician or healthcare professional to advise.

Are the supplements vegetarian?

All supplements are vegetarian except PhysioDetox Support Packets.

Who should NOT do the detox?

Important: Please DO NOT do this program if you are:

  • Pregnant
  • Nursing
  • On tightly titrated or administered medications
  • Have active cancer
  • Are on medications for bipolar disorder
  • Have an allergy to any ingredient listed in the supplements
  • Have kidney or liver problems
  • The PhysioCleanse powder contains pea protein. Some people with peanut allergies may have an allergic reaction to pea protein. Please contact your physician or healthcare professional to advise.

Also, if you are a woman using any form of birth control, you should use a back-up form of birth control during this program.

When is the best time to do this program?

The PhysioCleanse & Detoxification Program™ is best to do anytime you feel that your body needs a jump start to get back on track to feeling healthy and refreshed.

Some symptoms that might signal a need to detox include: feeling sluggish or tired, having a hard time concentrating and focusing, having a difficult time losing or maintaining weight, experiencing a weakened immune system, having constant digestive problems or any other symptoms of toxic overload.

Some periods that might call for detoxification include: pre-holiday to prevent you from over indulging, post-holiday when you need to recover, when your unhealthy treats becomes more of a habit than a treat, after a period of stress when you need to start over and during the change of seasons.

Should I wait to start the program now that the holidays are approaching?

At first you may think detoxing during the holidays doesn’t make sense, however this is probably the best time to detox. You will find that holiday gatherings do not necessarily have to be centered around food. Instead, it can be focused on what is really important – being with loved ones.

Clean food options during the holidays are endless and are often the foods we typically already eat. Focus your meals around organic, healthy proteins, fresh veggies and salads. Add a healthy side dish or soup to round out your meal.

By staying clean during the holidays, you will feel empowered by the fact that you stayed healthy and won’t have to deal with feeling guilty from overeating. Instead, you will wake up the next day feeling well rested, clean and refreshed.

Should I wait to start the program if I have business events and social gatherings?

It is unlikely that you’ll find a 28-day period when you don’t have something on your calendar that requires you to eat in a social manner. This program is more effective when you follow the guidelines; however eating out is possible. Choosing clean foods found in your guidebook and checking out a restaurant menu ahead of time will make you more successful when you need to eat out or go to an event.

I have a very demanding and busy lifestyle…is this program right for me?

The PhysioCleanse and Detoxification Program™ can be one of the easiest programs you will do if you set your mind to it. The program is designed to provide you with all the resources and tools you need at your fingertips to make this experience as successful, simple to follow and achievable as possible.

For example, a 28 Day-By-Day Guideline and Meal Plan is provided for those that prefer to have all the planning done for them. Only a small amount of planning can produce huge rewards to your health. 


Specific Program Questions:

What happens if I fall of the wagon and don’t follow the guidelines provided?

If you fall off the wagon and don’t follow the guidelines provided, the only thing you can do is to get right back on the program regimen as soon as possible and stick with it. The program is designed to provide you with all the resources and tools needed to successfully complete the program.

Mental state of mind is a critical component for success. Think positive, believe in yourself to have will power and determination, and invite a friend to partake in this wonderful journey with you for support. Remember, if you cheat during the program, you are only cheating yourself and you won’t achieve the optimal results that you can.

Can I continue to take medically prescribed pharmaceuticals?

We recommend that you consult your healthcare professional before starting this program.

How long is the Pre-Cleansing Phase?

The Pre-Cleansing Phase is typically 5 days long. This phase prepares your mind, body and kitchen for the Detoxification Phase and involves a gentle colon cleanse to create an ideal environment for your body to detoxify.

The goal of the colon cleanse is to achieve 2-3 formed bowel movements a day. Some people may need to extend this phase if they are not successful in reaching this goal or may consult with a healthcare professional to perform hydrocolonics, if preferred.

Can I use a laxative for the gentle colon cleanse, instead of going through the 5 day Pre-Cleansing Phase?

It is highly recommended that you do not skip the Pre-Cleansing Phase. The purpose of this phase is to prepare your mind, body and kitchen for the Detoxification Phase. This phase does include Pre-Cleansing supplements which are a gentle approach to colon cleansing, but if you prefer to go to a specialist that does hydrocolonics, that is okay. However, we strongly recommend that you stay away from harsh laxatives or other harsh colon cleansing products.

During the Pre-Cleansing Phase when I have to do a gentle colon cleanse, will I be in the bathroom all day?

No, during the Pre-Cleansing Phase, you will only do a gentle colon cleanse to help facilitate the detoxification process. Your goal will be to have 2-3 bowel movements a day. Bowel movements should be formed, NOT liquid.

However, you may urinate more often due to the higher consumption of water. The extra water is needed to flush out toxins.

Can I extend the detoxification program longer than 28 days?

Yes, the PhysioCleanse and Detoxification Program™ can be extended up to 4 weeks. 

Clean Diet and Supplements Questions:

Why do I need to remove foods such as sugar, wheat/gluten, dairy, alcohol and caffeine?

During a detoxification, you want to minimize toxins such as alcohol and caffeine and only consume foods that are nutritious and free of toxins.

It is also recommended to consume foods that have low-allergenic potential. Wheat/gluten, dairy and soy are some of the most common foods to cause reactions - some very subtle, however, still producing problems within the digestive system.

Should or can I start eating clean during the Pre-Cleansing Phase?

You are not required to start eating clean during the Pre-Cleansing Phase. However, if you choose to, you can certainly start eating clean to accelerate your progress.

Does this program require me to eat only organic foods?

It is highly recommended that you consume only organic foods and liquids during the entire 28 day Detoxification Phase in order to cleanse and detoxify your body of toxins.

Non organic foods may be produced with pesticides, fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge. Further, they may be bioengineered or treated with ionizing radiation. Non organic meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products may come from animals that are given antibiotics or growth hormones. All these are toxic to your body.

Are there more affordable alternatives to organic foods?

Organic food can be more expensive, but by cutting out all the processed foods, fast foods and eating out, you will probably spend about the same amount of money. Investing in your health can save you money in the long run. This process is priceless.

Can I skip any of the supplements?

No, do not skip any supplements or shakes.

Can I skip a shake if I am not hungry?

No, if you are not hungry for a shake, you are probably eating too much food. The shakes and/or smoothies are a very important component of the program because they have several detoxification nutrients that are required.

How long will it take for my kit to arrive?

Once your payment has been received, you should expect delivery within 2 weeks.

How much is shipping & handling?

To simplify the processing of your order, there is a flat $30 Shipping & Handling fee for all orders.

Additional Kits: $15 S&H Fee will be added for each additional kit ordered and shipped to a single address.

What shipping methods are available?

Currently, we only offer FedEx ground shipping which takes about 3-6 business days once your kit(s) has been shipped.

Can I expedite my shipping?

Order and Refund Questions:

Can I order more than one kit?

Yes, you may order multiple kits in a single order if they are all shipping to the same address.

Otherwise, you must place a new order for each kit that is shipping to a unique address.

Can I purchase the supplements individually instead of ordering the entire kit?

No, in order to complete the PhysioCleanse & Detoxification Program™, you must order the entire kit.

However, if you would like to extend the program after completing the 28 day detoxification phase, you may order additional supplements for maintenance.

Can I order the supplements somewhere else or do I have to order it through you?

No, our supplements are only available through the PhysioCleanse & Detoxification Program™.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Can I purchase this for someone else as a gift?

Yes, just make sure the shipping address is specified.

What is your Return & Refund policy?

For a full refund, the entire PhysioCleanse & Detoxification Kit™ must be returned unopened within 3 weeks upon arrival of your product.

Any individual unopened items may also be returned within 3 weeks upon arrival of your product for a partial refund.

Refunds will be issued upon receipt of the returned product.

Unfortunately, there is no refund for original shipping costs and you will be responsible for the return shipping expenses.

How can I Request a Refund?

In the email, include the following information:

  • List of the unopened items to be returned

  • Upon approval, a Return Authorization form will be emailed to you.

    You must include the Return Authorization form along with your returned kit and/or supplements for the refund to be issued back on your credit card.


    Purchase Order Terms & Conditions

    These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) are made between the Seller and the Purchaser indicated on the reverse side hereof and govern the sale by Seller of the goods listed on thereon (the “Products”) to Purchaser, whether resulting from written orders, phone orders, electronic data interchange, release, or any other means (the “Orders”).

    1. Payment Terms. Purchaser will pay Seller’s invoices according to their terms. Seller’s prices are subject to change without notice, and the price(s) in place at the time of shipment apply. Shipments are subject to approval of Seller’s credit department. Seller reserves the right to divide an Order into separate shipments and invoice each shipment separately as a separate contract. If Purchaser fails to comply with terms of payment, Seller may suspend production and/or defer future shipment under any Order, revise the payment terms, or cancel the unshipped balance. Seller may also require satisfactory assurance(s) of performance from the Purchaser. Any tax, duty, or freight charge which Seller is now or hereafter obligated to pay or collect will be for the account of Purchaser and may be added to the price.

    2. Security Agreement. To secure all amounts due to Seller from Purchaser, Purchaser grants Seller a security interest in each Product and its accessions, improvements and proceeds. Purchaser authorizes Seller to sign as Purchaser’s attorney-in-fact and to file financing statements as necessary to perfect Seller’s security interest.

    3. Deliveries; Title and Risk of Loss. Title to and risk of loss of all Products passes to Purchaser F.O.B. Seller’s facility. Purchaser’s requested shipping dates are informational only and not legally binding on Seller. Seller reserves the right to ship loads of any size without charge to Seller, and Seller may charge all incidental shipping costs to Purchaser. Inspection of Products is solely at Purchaser’s expense.

    4. Limited Warranty. Seller’s sole and exclusive warranty is that the Products fairly meet Seller’s stated specifications at the time of shipment. Seller makes no other express or implied warranty and makes NO IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NONINFRINGEMENT OR TITLE, OR ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING, OR USAGE OF TRADE. Buyer maintains the final and sole responsibility for determination of Product suitability. Seller assumes no responsibility whatever for the compliance of the Products with applicable laws, regulations, codes and standards, including the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and regulations of the FDA.

    5. Limited Liability. Purchaser’s exclusive remedy for breach of contract, breach of warranty or any other claim is limited to repair or replacement of non-conforming Products or, at Seller’s option and upon return of the Products, refund of a portion of the purchase price. The statute of limitations for all claims arising under this Agreement is one (1) year from the date the claim accrues. If Purchaser’s exclusive remedy fails of its essential purpose for any reason, Purchaser’s sole alternative remedy will be the right, within the one-year limitations period, to recover damages up to but not exceeding the purchase price of the Product(s) involved. Seller shall not be liable for any other damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential.

    6. Force Majeure. Seller is not responsible for any delay or deficiency in production or shipment or for Product defects caused in whole or in part by: acts of God, riots, wars, fires, explosions, breakdowns, or accidents; strikes or other labor difficulties; lack or shortage of labor, materials, utilities, energy sources, or transportation facilities; delays of carriers; compliance with governmental rules, regulations, priorities, allocations, or other governmental requirements; or any other like or any unlike cause beyond Seller’s control. The foregoing is in addition to any excuse for non-performance provided by the Illinois Uniform Commercial Code or other applicable law. If Seller is excused from performance, Seller may allocate available Products between itself, its affiliates, and its customers in any manner Seller deems equitable, or Seller may cancel any outstanding Order.

    7. Compliance with Laws. In connection with each Order, Purchaser warrants that it will comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, executive orders, rules and regulations, including but not limited to the Fair Labor Standards Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, Toxic Substances Control Act, Equal Employment Opportunity Act and the regulations and standards issued pursuant thereto. Purchaser shall supply Seller with all information necessary to permit Seller to comply with all laws. No statement of Seller has been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. The Products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

    8. Confidentiality. Purchaser or Seller may make available to the other information of a confidential and proprietary nature, including but not limited to products, proprietary formulas, methods, processes, designs, software, samples, test and analyses data, product descriptions, specifications, manuals, plans, prices, customer information, supplier information, and financial information (“Confidential Information”). During the term of this Agreement and for a period of five (5) years thereafter, the party to whom the Confidential Information is disclosed shall not release, disclose or use such Confidential Information in a manner inconsistent with this Agreement or in competition with the disclosing party. Information shall not be treated as Confidential Information if it is currently available in the public domain, becomes available to the public without a breach of this paragraph, or can be conclusively demonstrated to have been lawfully in the possession of the receiving party prior to disclosure. At the request of either party, employees of the other party having access to Confidential Information may be required to sign confidentiality agreements.

    9. Cancellation by Purchaser. Purchaser may cancel this Agreement or any Order only upon written consent from Seller on terms acceptable to Seller, including indemnification of Seller against any loss from cancellation. For a full refund, the entire PhysioCleanse & Detoxification Kit must be returned unopened within 3 weeks of product ship date. Any individual unopened items may also be returned within 3 weeks of product ship date for a partial refund. Refunds will be issued upon receipt of the returned product. There will be no refund for original shipping cost. Purchaser is responsible for the return shipping expenses.

    10. General. This Agreement is the entire agreement of Seller and Purchaser with respect to its subject matter. This Agreement may not be amended except in a writing which refers to this Agreement and which is signed by officers of Seller and Purchaser with legal authority. In the event that one or more clauses of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, illegal or contrary to public policy by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. Any failure of Seller to insist upon strict performance of one Order or any term of this Agreement shall not waive its right to strict performance thereafter. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is expressly excluded from and shall not apply to any transaction subject to this Agreement. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard for its choice of law rules. Seller and Purchaser agree that any legal proceeding with respect to this agreement shall be brought only in a court of the State of Illinois, or in a court of the United States sitting in Illinois, and both Seller and Purchaser submit to and accept generally and unconditionally the personal jurisdiction of those courts with respect to their person and property. If Purchaser becomes insolvent, if a receiver is appointed, if there is an assignment for the benefit of creditors, or if a petition for voluntary or involuntary bankruptcy on behalf of Purchaser is filed, Seller may, without further obligation to Purchaser terminate any Order or this Agreement immediately in whole or in part.
