Lisa Gindi - PhysioSlow Trainer

Lisa grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and acquired a love for fitness at an early age. Her mother, a personal trainer and Pilates instructor herself, always emphasized the importance of exercise and encouraged a physically healthy lifestyle. After achieving an undergraduate degree from Boston University in 2001, and a Master's degree in Wildlife Conservation, Lisa moved to California to become a zoo keeper at the San Diego Zoo. Shortly thereafter, she met her future husband, Ryan, and followed him to Tel Aviv where he studied medicine. An avid runner, Lisa completed her first half-marathon in 2012 in Israel.

Lisa's decision to become a personal trainer came as a result of the physical transformation she accomplished in preparation for her wedding in 2009. She put herself through a rigorous 9-month training and nutrition program to get ready for the big day. The joy of reaching the goals she set for herself inspired her to want to help others succeed. Now happily settled in Chicago, Lisa is committed to helping her clients transform themselves and attain their own fitness goals.

  • Guilty Pleasures:  A glass of wine and reality TV
  • On a day off:  I spend time with my husband, exploring the city.
  • Favorite Chicago restaurant:  Kai Zan Sushi
  • Favorite place to shop:  Target and Nordstrom
  • Best advice she has given to an unmotivated client:  You may not always regret skipping a workout, but you will NEVER regret completing one! Decide what it is that you want and got for it. Discipline and consistency are key.
  • How PhysioLife has changed her life and body:  I am stronger and more toned than I have ever been. By teaching my body to slow down the movement of the weights, I get so much more out of every exercise.

  • Guilty pleasures:  Shopping, reality tv, adventures, wining & dining and anything spicy
  • On a day off:  Movies, shopping, cocktails and walking & experiencing Chicago!
  • Favorite Chicago restaurant:  Bavette's for a burger is always a winner. 
  • Favorite place to shop:  Lots of online shopping, Free People & Nordstrom
  • How PhysioSlow has changed her life and body:  I am more toned than ever and the fact that it only takes 2-half hour sessions per week makes me HAPPY :)
